  • Excellent place to go with or without kids for an outing, walking or biking. Beautiful and access to fire pits and picnic tables for cookouts. Dogs are allowed in the park.

  • It's a beautiful park in it whole entirety or even just in its individual areas. However I don't agree with the management of the park. Many facilities & parking areas are gated and closed so early. Many times I've gone to use the washrooms a full hour prior to the posted lock up times and they are already locked. It's a public park and the hours should be expanded. I do understand their rational for locking the facilities early, but if vandalism is a problem. The solution isn't to punish everyone by closing things up early. It's more patrols and enforcement.

  • Fish Creek is a park within Calgary limits, and the park is big enough that you forget you're in the city. The park is easily accessible by car and bus, there are lots of activities to do, and you'll see a lot of deer (but watch out for cougars right now, but only at night!) You can walk, bike or longboard the entire distance, and the trails come in different difficulties. If you don't feel like driving out to a national park, this is a much closer substitute in the city that everyone can enjoy. The minor caveats are that the paths can get congested and there are a lot of mosquitoes after the rain, but just stay on your side of the path and wear bug spray!

  • Beautiful. First time cycling here. Saw a young buck that was very unafraid just eating some dinner. Was lovely.

  • One of the largest parks in Canada, and we're so fortunate to have it. There are birds as far as the eye can see (we saw 2 owls today), and there is so much space that it never feels crowded. All in all, a definite must see for anyone who enjoys a peaceful outdoor experience without having to leave the city.
