Beautiful weather and the kids just love the water

What a gem in the city! Being from a coastal city and missing the beaches made my way here and it was lovely spending such a hot day in a real white sandy beach. Nice are, shadowed grass under the trees, perfect for a picnic after swimming, hanging out with friends... just fantastic!!!

Sand is better than most beaches in Calgary. Usually packed on a good day but finding a spot with 10m space in each direction isn't difficult. Lots of kids around. Water temperature is nice and cool on a hot day but may be a little chilly if it's windy out.
