  Came here because of good reviews, first time going here they messed up our order, giving us a complete different order.. was fine with it, could've been an honest mistake, service was decent. The second visit here, they messed up our order again, a little skeptical now, they didn't seem to care. Third visit, the service was horrible. Figured it was time for a review. It was during slow hours, only one other table aside from mine. The waitress spent 20 minutes talking on her cellphone while on her laptop at the same time. We waited a total of 30 minutes just to get our water refilled since she forgot and decided to talk on her phone instead. Broth was good, but small portions. Subs were also good.

  In my opinion this is the best pho restaurant in Calgary. Their sate soup broth is a little different from other Pho restaurants but much tastier. I would definitely recommend trying the sate broth! Be aware, Basil is a little pricier than other Pho restaurants. Otherwise, highly recommended.

  Biased on reviews we decided to check out Basil. Many reviews complained about the service but we found the service to be extremely prompt and excellent. The same reviews and praised the food, but we found the bun and Pho to be quite average by Calgary standards.
