  Fun place! Been there on dates a few times with my boyfriend! We like their food! And we always draw on the tables hahah its fun

  Excellent; had supper with a friend and a nice glass of red wine. Large location; noisy though. Excellent service though had to wait in the beginning to order as we couldn't get the waitress to come back. They cater to families and large groups. The birthday song has to change. It was sung at least six times that night. Overall, worth a visit and $$ - $$$ for menu; lots of choices. Interesting lights in there as well. Big screen TV's for sports. Good road location - intersection of Southland Drive and Macleod Trail though the parking lot is interesting to get in and out of.

  Good food with good service, average pub fare. If give it 4 or 5 stars of it wasn't for the loud music they play.... it can be hard to have a conversation

  People looking for a fine dining experience are stunned. Look Jack Astor's is kind of like Boston Pizza. If Boston pizza served real food, and wasn't the worst place on earth. There will be kids here, they will be colouring on the tables and moderately loud with the occasional sprinkling of unbearable. The food is good, and in comparison to the price it's even better. You can feed a family of four and not have to take out a second mortgage on your right arm. The service is genuinely friendly and they get that your kids don't want to sit there forever while your kids slowly turn into demon's pawn. They have sports on, so dad can pretend to be engaged in what happened at school today while watching darts or whatever is on tsn7. (If that's what suits your fancy) they usually have some sort of blooper reel on for the kids to giggle at and go "DID YOU SEE THAT?" All in all its a family restaurant. And for the price one of the better ones in the city. For what it is? Five stars for sure.
