- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★We took my grandma here for her 90th birthday. The atmosphere is wonderful, it really is such a cute place. They had so many teas to choose from it was difficult to decide. The high tea portions were huge, we couldn't eat it all and had to take it home. All the sandwiches are tasty, same with the scones and desserts. - ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆We went for high tea here. The tea options are wonderful but tasting notes might be nice. The front of house staff were lovely. Kitchen got a bit backed up. The place is cute but pricey. All of the food was good but seemed like something I could make at home. I expected it to be slightly more elevated for the price. High Tea at the Dove's Nest is a must - the scones with jam and clotted cream is to die for, and the variety of finger sandwiches and desserts is fantastic.
