  Fantastic chocolate, one of the only places in Canada that makes their own chocolate. Their dark chocolate is completely missing that bitterness and astringent flavor you get in a lot of other top brands, instead it's fantastically flavorful and smooth. I've given it to many avowed milk chocolate lovers and converted them to truly good dark chocolate. If you go in you have to also try their drinking chocolate, it is a fantastic experience, and they provide multiple great flavors to choose from. It's all made from their chocolate on prem, no powders or anything like that here. If you're looking for a good date idea they also do factory tours with wine and chocolate tasting in the evenings during the week which are a ton of fun.

  My bf and I went to a wine and chocolate tasting for our anniversary. Firstly, the chocolate is AMAZING. I usually hate dark chocolate, but this place made me love it. Their dark chocolate is so smooth, delicious and not at all bitter. He gave us some lesser quality dark chocolate to compare with, and the difference was insane. We also got to learn about the whole chocolate making process, from growing the beans, all the way to the end product. We both purchased some chocolate to take home :) The only reason I'm not rating Choklat 5 stars is that the owner, Brad, seems a little full of himself during the various talks he gives during the evening. He makes an amazing product though, so this could just be his way of expressing how proud he is of his company and the chocolate he makes. Either way, Choklat is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to order the custom truffles to try out. Edited to mention: I loooooved the wine & chocolate pairings offered later in the evening. They served a sherry and a port with two different kinds of dark chocolate, and an ice wine with the milk chocolate. The port with Brazilian 70% dark was my favorite, but they were all great. My boyfriend is not a wine drinker, and he also really enjoyed this part.

  The chocolate was amazing! The tour was informative and the owner engaging and amusing. We had a fantastic time!
