  It is the best crispy juicy greasy fried chicken ever. A Calgary institution. Good anytime, but especially great late after a few drinks. A heart attack in every box.

  Yummy and FRESH food! I especially liked their fritters. I ordered the chicken breast and 3 fritters and I was insanely full after 2 fritters and half the breast... they give good portions and the prices aren't bad either!

  One of the best places to get fried chicken at, in both terms of food quality and price. In terms of the best tasting chicken, I can't really decide between this place and Mary Brown's as they're both good, but different at the same time. In terms of the best price, Chicken on the Way is the best hands down. I haven't seen the menu for a while now so I don't exactly recall accurately, but if I'm not mistaken you can get a meal with two pieces of chicken, fries and a corn fritter for around $7.50. This place, along with Mary Brown's are way better than KFC. And, when you go to Chicken on the Way, don't get just one corn fritter. If you do, you'll wish you had gotten more.

  Fairly slow service at peak times (I waited 25 mins for 4 pieces of chicken). Cannot order takeout via phone call. Decent chicken (4/5 stars). Business process is not customer oriented. Website looks like it was made in 1998.

  Angry girl boxing up the chicken. Got the 5 piece special, ended up with two tiny pieces with no meat on them! Good thing GF grabbed a hotdog on the way home. Fries and big balls weren't worth eating. The decent sized pieces were OK though and gravy was edible. Couldn't remember the last time I ate there and doubt I will remember the next time either lol.
